iFrogz EarPollution Headphones

Our family room holds many things; a television, a large table for eating or playing board games, and it also houses a computer. Sometimes all three things can be happening at once which can cause a lot of frustration when you are the one on the computer trying to hear a demonstration, or song, and the t.v. is going with yet another episode of “Totally Spiez”. I am so happy I was given the opportunity to review iFrogz EarPollution Headphones. They work!

I am not a fan of ear buds. My girls complain about having to use them because they hurt. Even with the little foamy thing around them it still hurts my ears. I’m reminded of a commercial in the 70’s for Q-Tips starring Betty White. Betty told us “Never put anything inside your ear, except your elbow.” Yes Betty. I agree with you.

iFrogz EarPollution CS40’s are soft on your ears and light on your head. They easily adjust for any size noggin and come in 5 color choices: white, black, blue, red and pink. The retail price is $39.99.

I’m so, so happy to add these headphones to our family room. It has made for one less thing to argue about.

**I have received a set of CS40’s headphones in exchange for this review**

Simply Bags

I have found a great beach bag from the site Simply Bags. It’s a perfect, classic beach tote which I can not wait to load up with sunscreen, water bottles and beach blankets to enjoy the lovely summer season.

I chose a classic stripe design with a durable, and soft, rope handle priced at $27.99. They offer monogramming so I will be proudly wear my AHM to the shores. Inside is lined in an off-white canvas with a very handy side pocket.

This beach tote bag is a perfect size to take to the pool or beach. Comfortably fits a towel, bottled water, sunscreen and books. (Books, if I’m feeling constuctive – Magazines, if the lovely summer mellowness is taking over.)

I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to share this product by Simply Bags with you. Please visit this site and see their other stylish offerings.

Playtex Bra Makeover

I am always in search of something… and I don’t think I’m alone.

I am searching for the perfect bra. Why is it so difficult? The cups fit right but the back rides up. The back stays in place but the straps are uncomfortable. The straps are good but my cups runneth over. I can’t have such a unique shape that no bra will fit me, right?!?

That is why I’m checking my fit with the Playtex Bra Makeover www.PlaytexBraMakeover.com. This website helped me realize that, as our bodies age, our bra choices need to change. What worked a couple of years ago isn’t what’s going hold these girls now!

When you visit the Playtex Bra Makeover site you will find “Fit Tips” and a an opportunity to “Find Your Perfect Bra”. If you find it uncomfortable to be sized in person this web feature is a tremendous help in finding your perfect fit.

Give the Playtex Bra Makeover site a try. Make your “girls” happy!

*Disclosure: By posting this information, I am entered into a contest to win a free bra from Playtex. I did not receive any compensation for this post and thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

I am happy. After months of looking for an eye lash product that would help my eyelashes become fuller I have been given the opportunity to try a product that truly delivers, LashFood.

LashFood is a drug-free, natural cosmetic option to help grow your lashes, and eyebrows. (You know that little spot on your brows that’s a little sparse? After a couple of weeks with LashFood serum that spot will start to fill in. It did for me!)

I am pleasantly surprised that these products worked. I am always skeptical. I don’t believe what I read. I have to see it for myself. And I have seen LashFood work of me and now I believe!

Another thing I love about LashFood is that it seperates my lashes so well that I don’t need to use a lash comb. (There are times when I’m a little tired while I apply so my hand is a little shaky which leads to the wand clumping. That is a rarity but, I thought it was worth mentioning because nothing is 100%.)

LashFood has been named one of the Top 10 Beauty Products of 2010 in Marie Claire magazine. I’m into my 3rd week with LashFood and I will post Before & After pics during the 6th week so you can see how the product worked for yourself. Very cool!

(* I was given the opportunity to try & review LashFood from the company. *)

I have been suffering, I mean suffering, with sinus problems for about 2 months now. I am doing all I can to avoid taking antibiotics. I’ve used saline spray. I’ve taken my mothers advice and bought a Neti Pot. (Very odd experience.) I thought the Neti Pot would be the answer but I still wasn’t getting any relief. Just when I thought I was going to have to visit the doctor I was asked to try a saline nasal spray with Xylitol called Xlear. I’m feeling good now people!!!

Xylitol may sound familiar due to the fact that it is an artificial sweetner found in gum and diet sodas. Xylitol also has healing attributes.

Xylitol is a great defensive weapon for helping prevent pathogens and allergens from causing problems in the nasal passages, where respiratory problems start. It simply acts as an aid to the body’s natural cleansing process by pulling small amounts of water into the nose to help the washing, and the xylitol prevents the pathogens from holding on. When bacteria enter the body, they hold on to the tissues by attaching to a variety of sugar complexes. Xylitol interferes with this adherence. It means fewer nasal related problems.

I am SO-O-O happy to have found Xlear. It sells for $6.99 at various retail outlets across the country. If you are having sinus problems I suggest you give Xlear a try.

Baby Look-alike Meter from My Heritage

My husband and I have 2 children, and it is just amazing how different they look from each other. One day I see myself in my youngest, the next day I think she looks like my husband’s sister. When we are at gatherings one person will look at my oldest and say, “I can’t believe how much she looks like you”. Then we’ll be some place new, bump into a friend and they will say “I can’t believe how much she looks like your husband”. Huh?

It’s fine. It doesn’t really bother me. I’ve always felt they are a perfect blend of us both. (But their intensity? That’s not from me, no way, nuh-uh ;-> )

A fun program I’ve been asked to try is the Baby Look-alike Meter from My Heritage Family Tree Software. What you do is Upload photos of a baby/child and both parents, in any arrangement. The free Look-alike Meter utilizes state-of-the-art face recognition technology to determine who the child resembles most. Once you get the results you can save them to any blog or social network, such as Facebook, in a few clicks.

My husband and I downloaded our pics and took bets on the results. (We also added pics of celebrities. It was silly but hysterical!) It turns out our oldest is an even blend of our facial features, while our youngest takes a bit more from her mother. (I knew it!)

Have some fun and try the Baby Look-alike Meter from My Heritage. It just might help settle a debate once and for all!
