FlipFlop Wine – Enjoy Moscato Tonight

Just when I thought I wouldn’t be able to drink a sweet wine with out wincing from the sugary taste, I’m very happy to say that the vintner of FlipFlop has created a sweet, light-bodied wine that is a perfect accompaniment to the end of your day, Moscato.

Moscato is best served chilled. You can enjoy it alone or with some zesty hummus and pita chips.  If you would like to try FlipFlop Moscato with your meal, pair it with your favorite Asian dish, maybe a Pad Thai, or vegetable curry.  Oh, so delicious.

You can’t beat the price of this yummy wine at $7.00.  (I found FlipFlop on sale at my local Kroger/Fred Meyer for $5.99. Winning! Oh, is that saying over? I don’t always know with those things.)

If red is more your style try FlipFlop Moscato.  It has a medium-body, with light tannins.  It’s very berry tasting, how’s that for an honest observation!

Another reason I like the brand FlipFlop, is their participation in Soles4Souls, an organization raising awareness in the need for shoes for children in Africa and South East Asian countries.  There is a tremendous shoe drive happening!  Please find out more at www.giveshoes.org/flippingooddeeds.

If you are looking for a delicious wine to bring to a party, or enjoy in the comfort of your own home, try FlipFlop wine.

(*disclosure:  Im pleased to share my thoughts on FlipFlop due to receiving a gift of Moscato and Merlot.  If I didn’t like it, I wouldn’t say I did.  My words/thoughts are truthful and honest.*)

Take Your Question And Bounce It Off Millions!

Here is a very fun way to get involved in a campaign and try to win prizes at the same time!  Take part in the Bounce It Off Millions campaign on Bounce’s Facebook page.  You could win their grand prize – the chance to turn one of your life’s great questions into a Facebook-wide, 150+ million users, advertisement.  I’m going to throw my question into the ring; we’re looking to trade in our gas-guzzling car and get a “new” car, should we lease a brand new car, driving it for the best years of the cars life?  Or, should we trade-in to own, knowing it’s ours – along with all the future repair costs?  Hmmm

To get involved in this campaign what you do is head over to Facebook.com/Bounce, click on the “Bounce it Off Millions” app, and submit a question that you need help making a decision on. Your question will be turned into a poll, and other Bounce fans will vote on it so that you can make the right choice.  Fun, right?!  Other prizes include two Bounce Dryer Bars – one to keep, and one for a friend. (5,000 Bounce Dryers Bars winners will be chosen.)

Visit the Bounce Facebook page now!  Contest ends September 17th!   Good luck and have fun.

Much Ado About Nothing – Sixty Minute Shakespeare Review and Giveaway

May the verse be with you! – Cass Foster

While there are some that can comprehend naturally, or through proper lessons, the works of Shakespeare (cue my husband) there are those of us that still don’t have our ear tuned to the glory of his words. If you are looking for a better understanding of the works of William Shakespeare I recommend the series “Sixty-Minute Shakespeare” by Cass Foster.

Professor Emeritus of Theatre, Cass Foster, has created a six book set “Sixty-Minute Shakespeare” that will help teachers spark the interest of their students, not turn them away with the all to familiar, “What are they saying??”  Really, once you get the rhythm of Shakespeare’s words the intention becomes a bit clearer each time and you’ll soon “get it”.  Truly.

“Sixty-Minute Shakespeare” can help in the creation of fully mounted productions, scene work in the classroom or just the study of Shakespeare in general.  As I mentioned, my husband is learned in Shakespeare and now has the joy of taking our 13 yrs. old daughter to plays, helping her to understand the language and the emotion of the story.  We have found that “Sixty-Minute Shakespeare – Much Ado About Nothing” was a huge help in preparing to attend a recent production.  What a treat!

The six book series includes the works of Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, Twelfth Night, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Hamlet, Much Ado About Nothing. The entire series is $45.89 or $8.99 individually.  You can find more information about the series by clicking www.GetShakespeare.com

If you would like a chance to win a copy of “Sixty-Minute Shakespeare – Much Ado About Nothing” please leave me a comment telling me so. Winner will be chosen September 21st.  Good luck!

Mat Kearney "Young Love" Review

If you discovered Mat Kearney through “Grey’s Anatomy”, fell for his sweet, moody voice and listened to Breathe In, Breathe Out over and over then you will thoroughly enjoy his latest release “Young Love”.

The cd starts out with the highly addictive Hey Mama.  Get your hands ready to clap and start dancing!  Ships In The Night is one of my favs with it’s driving bass.  Chasing The Light is beautifully written

If you already enjoy Mat Kearney I know you’ll be into “Young Love”.  And if you’re just discovering this singer/songwriter from Eugene, OR, his latest release is definitely worthy.

(*disclosure:  I was given a copy of Young Love for review from One2One Network*)
