Our girls love of the art forms Anime and Manga has sparked an interest in learning to speak Japanese. Since I have no knowledge of this language, and neither does my husband, we want to do what we can to provide the best educational tools for our girls so we started looking into Rosetta Stone. Now that our girls are becoming familiar with the language they are making life plans to move to Japan for college. Wow! That’s a bit of a drive from Oregon!
While one of our girls has aspirations of being a Manga artist herself our other daughter is looking at what she can offer in terms of “What will I be when I grow up?”. With her growing knowledge of Japanese she’s thinking about being a translator for those that would like to learn Japanese as well. That sounds like a great plan to me.
In her online research for this career she found Rosetta Translation Agencies that provide information on how to become a translator, intern programs offered and various career options in this field. It’s sparked an excitement in her that I haven’t seen. *sniff* Our girls are growing up. We are so proud of them and we feel that this career goal is full of open doors. Perhaps she will be teaching us Japanese one of these days :->
